She's ready to Roar! Selena Gomez hires Katy Perry's manager... after abruptly firing her mother and stepfather last month

She blindsided her parents by firing them as her managers in March.
And now Selena Gomez is looking to emulate pop star Katy Perry.
According to Us Weekly, the 21-year-old performer has enlisted the services of the 29-year-old Roar singer's manager, Bradford Cobb, to oversee her career.

Cobb, who was named one of Billboard magazine's top 40 executives under 40 last year, has been a key factor in Katy's extremely successful music career having served as her manager for a decade.
He also handles former American Idol star Adam Lambert.
Selena's burgeoning career had been overseen by her mother Mandy Teefey since her big break on Disney show Wizards Of Waverly Place.

As TMZ reported earlier this month, she made the bold move and decided to stop employing Mandy and her stepfather Brian Teefey to manage her affairs last month.
Mandy is alleged to be reeling from the dismissal as she is said to have only found out about her superstar daughter seeking more professional representation through the press.
Sources told the site that Selena's move was permanent. The insider added: 'Selena feels she's outgrown her parents.'
While Selena has argued with her parents about the direction of her career, family friction is not believed to be behind the decision.

The move comes after Selena renewed her relationship with her bad boy ex-boyfreind Justin Bieber.
Her parents were said to be 'vehemently opposed' to the reunion.
According to RadarOnline, the Come & Get It hitmaker's mother and stepfather believed the couple's break-up was the catalyst for her recent rehab stint.
The source said: 'They're doing their best to supervise them.'
However, they have a limited say in Selena's life, with the source adding: 'They don’t have any control over her.
'She's pulling the, "Who makes the money around here?" card.'
Selena has been spotted in Florida with the Beauty And A Beauty singer who has been dealing with several problems with the law.

I think it's a good move cos Katy is so incredibly successful and if her manager can do even a fraction of that for Selena then she'll do well. Now her parents can just be her parents.

I can see Selena's true colours. Pretends to be all Disney sweet, but she's really a social climber. She actually thought that her links with Bieber was going to turn her into a super star, but her concerts failed to impress, so now the Bieber thing hasn't worked out, she sacked her parents and gone for Katy Perry's management team.
