BEYONCÉ AND JAY Z CHEATING RUMORS: MYA DENIES REPORTED AFFAIR WITH RAPPER

Mya is staunchly denying rumors that she's Jay Z's mistress amid speculation that Beyoncé's hubby cheated on her.

Earlier today, the Internet was ablaze with reports that Jay had been having a long-term affair with Mya. But as quickly as the rumors spread, the 34-year-old singer took to Instagram to swiftly put out the flames.

In response to a user asking Mya if she was Jay's mistress, Mya wrote, "Never did, never was, never will. Illegitimate, thirsty sources with no facts and that's the ‘media' for you-especially today. I play second to no one, pay my own bills, have my own label, own management company, rely on God only and respect myself & marriage too much for nonsense."

She continued, "False rumors are crafted for ratings & numbers. And miserable, unhappy people need someone to judge to deter the attention away from their own misery and feel better about their miserable lives. If they did it to Jesus, they'll do it to anyone. God bless."

The Mya-Jay cheating rumors originated from a blind item posted online claiming the 44-year-old rapper had a longtime relationship with a "very short named R&B singer who hasn't had a hit in awhile and doesn't really even act or record any longer." "She basically lives off the generosity of Jay-Z and a couple of other guys," the post claimed.

Mya aside, Beyoncé and her hubby have been at the center of cheating speculation since his Met Gala elevator brawl with Solange Knowles. Bey added fuel to the rumors this week during a concert when she changed the lyrics of her song "Resentment," her 2006 song about infidelity, to reflect the number of years she and Jay had been together.

ROLF HARRIS JAILED FOR FIVE YEARS AND NINE MONTHS

Mr Justice Sweeney said Harris had taken advantage of the trust placed in him because of his celebrity status

Rolf Harris guilty

Entertainer Rolf Harris has been jailed for nearly six years for 12 indecent assaults against four girls - including one aged just seven or eight.

Harris, 84, who was found guilty of offences that took place between 1968 and 1986, was told by the judge he had "no-one to blame but himself".

Mr Justice Sweeney said Harris had taken advantage of his celebrity status and had shown "no remorse".

One victim said the abuse had taken away her "childhood innocence".

Harris's sentence of five years and nine months has already been referred to the Attorney General's Office under the "unduly lenient sentence scheme".

A spokesman for the office said it "only takes one person to trigger the process", and the sentence must be considered within 28 days for possible referral to the Court of Appeal.

The judge said Harris had "clearly got a thrill from committing some of these offences" against the four girls, one of whom who was just seven or eight.

The other victims were two young teenagers and a childhood friend of Harris's daughter Bindi, whom he abused between the ages of 13 and 19.

The judge said the assaults resulted in her suffering panic attacks, anxiety and led to her becoming an alcoholic, saying she had "suffered severe psychological harm".

Speaking after sentencing, she said the jail term was "immaterial".

"I feel fine, I think the guilty verdict was actually what I wanted, what I went to court for," she said.

She added: "I do hope that women will come forward now, celebrity or not."

Before Harris was jailed, prosecutors said he would not stand trial over allegations he had downloaded sexual images of children.

They had claimed Harris had indecent images of children, as part of a larger collection of adult pornography, but decided it was not in the public interest to prosecute him.

Harris is likely to serve half the sentence in prison and was told he would not have to pay compensation to his victims. However, the judge said he could have to pay the costs of the prosecution.

'Impassive'

Two of Harris's victims were in court for the sentencing, which saw members of the press and public fill the public gallery and watch from an overspill court via a video feed.

BBC correspondent David Sillito, who was in court, said Harris had displayed no emotion as he was sentenced.

"It was as he has been for the last eight weeks - impassive, staring ahead," he said.

The queue outside court two began to form at 07:45 BST - more than two hours before the hearing was due to begin. When the affable court usher, Billy, unlocked the door, it was not quite a stampede, but it was not pretty.

Two journalists immediately sat in seats reserved for the Harris support team. They refused to budge until told that the media could occupy the 12 jury seats as none of the jurors had taken up the opportunity to return for sentencing.

Another 30 people were sent off to an overspill court where they witnessed proceedings on a video feed.

Rolf Harris had started his final journey to Southwark in a boat from his house on the Thames, in Bray, Berkshire, but he arrived as usual in a car.

His daughter Bindi was with him but there was no sign of his frail wife, Alwen.

Perhaps in contrast to his mood, he wore a jazzy, multi-coloured tie and a light grey suit.

He had brought with him a similarly bright suitcase with a stripy design. Harris knew he would be going to prison. The only question was for how long.

He had been allowed to stay seated, but was told to stand as Mr Justice Sweeney announced that he would be jailed for five years and nine months.

There was no visible reaction from him or his relatives who were in court as he was led to the cells by two dock security officers.

As the judge said, Harris's reputation lay in ruins and he had no-one to blame but himself.

Peter Watt, director of national services at the NSPCC, said: "This sentence reflects the seriousness of his crimes and hopefully those he preyed upon can finally find some peace. It sends a message that no one is untouchable and justice can come at any time.

He added that the disgraced entertainer had treated the court case like "just another performance".

Alan Collins, of law firm Slater and Gordon, told the BBC his firm had been contacted in "recent days" by people making new allegations against Harris.

He said the calls had come from both the UK and overseas, and lawyers would meet the complainants in the coming days.

'Haunted'

Earlier, the court heard impact statements from the four victims, including from the childhood friend of Harris's daughter.

Reading out the statement, prosecutor Esther Schutzer-Weissman said the abuse had "haunted" the victim and left her feeling "dirty, grubby and disgusting".

The statement from the victim who had been seven or eight said the abuse had taken away her "childhood innocence".

Harris indecently assaulted a waitress at a charity event in Cambridge when she was aged 13 or 14, who said the star had "treated me like a toy".

CREATION OF MORE STATES, A WASTE –LAWMAKER

Lawmaker representing Alimosho constituency (1) in the Lagos House of Assembly, Bisi Yusuf, has described current attempts to create more states in the country as unnecessary and a waste of resources.

Speaking to House correspondents yesterday, Yusuf said that many of the already existing states are not viable and cannot survive without depending on allocation from the federal government. He was reacting to the recent approval for the creation of more states by delegates at the National Conference.

He said that rather than create more states, what the country needs is a purposeful and sound leadership that would manage its resources effectively.

“How many of the existing states are viable? We do not need more states because we have not even been able to take adequate care of the ones that we have. No matter how many states we create, it would only amount to providing more ‘jobs’ for the ‘boys’.

“There is high level of poverty in many of the states and a lot of people live in penury. A lot of Nigerians are poor and the resources available are not even well utilised by the government.

“Many of the sectors of the economy are not functioning properly. The polytechnics have been on strike for over eight months, health workers are now on strike, power supply is still epileptic, many of our roads are dilapidated.

“Does it not make economic sense for the country to channel its resources to the already existing states and ensure that all the states have adequate infrastructure? When states are created and resources are not judiciously used, it becomes a waste.”

Human rights lawyer, Fadipe, murdered

Lagos-based human rights crusader, Mr. Olakunle Alexander Fadipe, was killed at home on Thursday night by a lone assailant.

Fadipe was stabbed to death in his sitting room at Harmony Estate, College Road, Ogba, Lagos, at about 11pm.

Fadipe’s son, Folarin was also stabbed, as was his mother-in-law.

The suspect was arrested before he could escape from the scene and is now in security custody at the Olowosokedile Police Station.

Eye witnesses said he may have gained access into his victims’ residence by scaling the fence.

He was said to have first pounced on Folarin when the boy opened the door to go and switch on the electricity generator.

Folarin, with blood gushing from the severe knife wounds inflicted on his head and wrist by the assailant, rushed inside to alert the father to the presence of the intruder.

The suspect followed him and upon sighting the lawyer demanded the sum of N500,000, which the late Fadipe declared he did not have at home.

He offered a lower amount and any other personal effect, including mobile phones which the intruder reportedly rejected .

He insisted on collecting the half a million naira otherwise he would kill someone

He reached for the lawyer’s mother-in-law, but the lawyer rose to defend the woman, and Fadipe, according to eyewitnesses, succeeded in wrestling the suspect to the ground.

In a twist, however, the intruder gained the upper hand and stabbed Fadipe repeatedly with a butchers’ knife and a kitchen knife obtained from the late lawyer’s kitchen.

Sources said Fadipe, a former member of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and a member of the editorial board of The Guardian Newspaper, was stabbed on the left side of the neck, armpit, and stomach, losing a lot of blood in the process.

The Divisional Police officer (DPO) of the Olowosokedile Police Station, Mr Olatunji Ajimuda, confirmed the incident.

He said he received the alert at about 12am.

The police are already investigating the matter.

Sympathisers, including the Chairman, Ifako Ijaiye Local Government, Hon. Oloruntoba Oke, member, Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ifako Ijaiye (II), Hon, Saka Fafunmi, as well as the former chairman of the council Hon. Demola Doherty, yesterday visited the house to condole the family.

They described him as a worthy and courageous lawyer.

BABY BORN WITH FEMALE, MALE SEX ORGANS

When little Success Chisom Aniekwe was born one year ago, joy filled the hearts of his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Emmanuel Aniekwe, from Anam Community, in Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State. He was a chubby baby, full of life. However, the baby’s birth took a twist about eight days thereafter, when it was discovered that he had two sex organs, male and female. Ever since, pain has become a constant companion of the baby.

Now frail, with constant pain, especially when urinating, which comes through what would pass for female private part, under a little penis, the baby has been in and out of hospital, where tests and surgeries have been recommended.

Recounting her predicament, mother of the baby, Mrs. Chekwube Aniekwe, told Daily Sun that the scan she did, while pregnant, showed that the baby was a girl. She, however, stated that her confusion started when the woman, who gave the baby its first bath said the sex organ was not pronounced. The confusion increased when the mother moved to circumcise the baby, as the family wanted to circumcise its female children.

“Eight days of the baby’s birth, we went for the circumcision, when the woman noticed that my baby had both male and female organs. When the woman wanted to cut her clitoris, she said the baby was not a girl. She advised us to go back to his hospital of birth,” she stated

The confused mother of three explained that she went back to the hospital, where the medical director examined the baby.

She said: “When the doctor looked at the baby’s case, he quickly referred us to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. When we got there, we were made to understand that we needed to do some tests before surgeries could be done to correct the anomaly. At the hospital, a pharmacist directed us to Isolo General Hospital. On getting to there, they said they could not handle the case.”

The parents’ quest for solution did not stop there, as they also went to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH.

Mrs. Aniekwe said: “When we got LUTH, we were told surgeries were needed but would come only after some tests. We have not been able to do the tests because of lack of finance.”

“The last time we went to LUTH was in December 2013. At that time, one of the specialists told us that there would likely be two surgeries. We were also asked to do a hormone test to know whether the baby has womb, to know if another surgery would be added.”

Unfortunately, the couple has not been able to raise money for the necessary tests and, therefore, have not made further moves to save the situation.

“We made several attempts to raise money for the necessary tests but we could not and that is why we have not gone back to the hospital till now. Presently, we do not know what it would cost us to do the tests and the surgeries,” she stated.

The woman further explained her baby’s condition has caused the family a lot of pain and embarrassment. “I am being embarrassed by the problem of the baby. Everywhere, I go, people get confused, as to whether the baby is a boy or girl. Initially, I used to dress the baby like girl. I also pierced the ears and put earrings. But as time passed, the baby’s look changed to that of a boy. People tell me my baby resembles a boy. Within me, I know that there is a problem. It was when the face started changing to a boy that I started giving him a hair-cut and dressing him like a boy, even when the ears are pierced,” she stated.

Her husband, Emmanuel, described the case as a very serious challenge that has confronted the family. He, however, expressed optimism that surgeries, as doctors have recommended, would remedy the situation.

“I will be very grateful if I could be assisted financially, so that the surgeries would be done. The baby is always in pains and too tender to be undergoing such. We have been blessed with a baby and, therefore, should be happy parents,” he stated.

The Aniekwe family, therefore, appealed to the government, corporate bodies, religious groups, non-governmental organisations and well-meaning individuals to assist them to raise fund for the surgeries. They would want all assistance to be made through Mary Jane Onyeulo, UBA Account Number: 2015879064 or call 08032398135.

According to Wikepedia, a hermaphrodite is an organism that has reproductive organs normally associated with both male and female.

“Historically, the term hermaphrodite has also been used to describe ambiguous genitalia and gonadal mosaicism in individuals of gonochoristic species, especially human beings. The word intersex has come into preferred usage for humans, since the word hermaphrodite is considered to be misleading and stigmatising as well as “scientifically specious and clinically problematic,” it stated.

Sequential hermaphrodites can be divided into three broad categories: Protandry: Where an organism is born as a male, and then changes sex to a female; and Protogyny: Where the organism is born as a female, and then changes sex to a male.

There’s also Bidirectional Sex Changers: Where an organism has both female and male reproductive organs but acts as either female or male during different stages in life.

Soldiers go berserk, set BRT buses on fire on Ikorodu Road

A Bus Rapid Transport set ablaze by angry soldiers Friday morning on Ikorodu Road.

Irate soldiers went on the rampage on Friday morning at Palmgroove area of Ikorodu Road in Lagos, western Nigeria, and burnt at least eight BRT-LAG buses and vandalised 20 others, after their colleague was allegedly crushed to death on a BRT lane; although a military spokesman on radio claimed that the buses were burnt by street urchins, also known as area boys.

Witnesses said two soldiers were on motorcycle, riding on a BRT lane, when they were hit by a LAGBUS at 9 am, leaving one of them dead and the other slightly injured. Unconfirmed reports later claimed that none of the soldiers died.

•A Bus Rapid Transport set ablaze by angry soldiers Friday morning on Ikorodu Road.

The soldier who was said to have died, P.M.NEWS learnt, was on the back seat of the motorcycle when tragedy struck. Small motorcycles are banned from plying both expressways and BRT lanes in Lagos State.

Witnesses said the second soldier then rushed to a nearby barracks and mobilised his colleagues to the accident scene. Immediately the soldiers arrived, they swung into action, taking laws into their hands and vandalising all the Rapid Transit Buses in sight.

They sent passengers and bus drivers scampering for safety as they unleashed their anger on the buses and spread panic around the area. A female soldier was captured on camera smashing the windshield of one of the buses.

The chaos and pandemonium led to traffic snarls with commuter bus drivers turning back or increasing their fares.

One of the vandalised buses in LAGBUS fleet

It was learnt that there was pandemonium in the area when about 100 soldiers suddenly emerged from the barracks and took over Ikorodu Road and started unleashing terror on passers-by as many took to their heels to avert being killed.

The soldiers blocked the expressway on both sides causing severe traffic gridlock, while some people abandoned their cars and took to their heels.

Policemen could not confront the irate soldiers who were well armed and ready to kill anyone who dared to confront them. Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management, LASTMA, had to remove their uniforms to disguise themselves to avoid being attacked by the angry soldiers.

Drivers and passengers inside BRT fled as the rampaging soldiers attacked them. Passengers of smaller buses had to abandon the buses and run for their lives.

In Fadeyi, signs that this was no ordinary traffic snarl were apparent, as most BRT and LAGBUSES were damaged. Traffic stretched from Obanikoro to Mile 12 and thousands of commuters were stranded, watching helplessly as men on military uniform went on the rampage.

The entire road was deserted, while commuter buses coming from Ojota refused to pick passengers to Yaba area as all they avoided Ikorodu road completely.

The soldiers were said to have beaten up anybody on sight. They beat up drivers and passengers or anyone who moved close to try to take their pictures.

•Commuters stranded today following soldiers’ rampage on Ikorodu road, Lagos.

An eyewitness, who craved anonymity, said two civilians were beaten up and a guy who was taking pictures was beaten and his phone smashed on the express road.

Some soldiers were said to have left the expressway and took big sticks from women cooking by the roadside to break the glasses of the buses. One of the soldiers took stones and threw them into the crowd twice.

A LASTMA official, who craved anonymity, told P.M.NEWS a different version of the story, saying that “there was a broken down vehicle on BRT lane inward Anthony. Two soldiers were on a motorcycle. They sped and rammed into the broken down bus and the soldier riding the bike died instantly. The passenger went to mobilise other soldiers and they took to the streets and pounced on people.”

He added that the soldiers vandalised several BRT buses and caused pandemonium on the expressway leading to serious traffic gridlock.

Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Lagos State, Aderemi Ibirogba told P.M.NEWS that it was sad that the soldiers invaded the expressway and unleashed mayhem on Ikorodu Road, leading to traffic gridlock.

According to him, the state government was in touch with the military authorities and had reported the matter and that the military had assured that the situation would soon be put under control.

“I can only advise the public to avoid Ikorodu road for now. The military authorities have assured us that in no time, everything will be under control. The public should bear with us as we did not plan for this.”

An eye witness, who identified herself as Mrs Okwo said she saw five BRT buses being burnt by soldiers and described the situation as pathetic and unpleasant for the soldiers to have taken laws into their hands.

As at the time of filing this report, there were no BRT buses on Ikorodu Road as they have gone to park the vehicles to avoid being burnt by the soldiers.

However, the Commanding officer of the area was said to have come to the scene and was able to placate the soldiers to withdraw from the road and salvaged the situation, but the aftermath of the crisis had already left untold traffic gridlock in the area which would take a while to disappear.

Keshi is confused, says Babayaro

The former Nigeria player has reacted to Stephen Keshi’s denial about his resignation as Super Eagles gaffer
As reactions continue to trail Stephen Keshi’s resignation as Nigeriahead coach, former international goalkeeper Emmanuel Babayaro has expressed his disappointment over the former Mali and Togo coach denial.

Keshi was reported to have resigned from his role after Nigeria’s loss to France in the second round but later denied saying he only ‘bid’ his players farewell because his contract will expire.
According to Babayaro, the ‘big boss’ denial is a pointer that he is a confused man.
"When I read about his denial, I felt disappointed because he failed to convince me with his side of the story” Babayaro told SL10.

"To start with he didn’t deny he wished his players bye, if he truly has hopes of continuing he won’t address his players so fast, at least let the pain of crashing out subside a little, and maybe hear from the NFF bigwigs before telling his players he might not continue like he claimed.
"To me he is looking for attention and maybe he is at cross roads over to stay or leave, he appears confused a bit as he loves Nigeria and his job.”

The Atlanta Olympics football gold medalist also urged the Nigeria Football Federation to address Keshi’s issue with all urgency as the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers draws nearer.
"Our first qualifier for the Nations Cup in 2015 is less than two months away, we should be concerned with players invitations not who will handle the team?

"The NFF must move quickly, make a decision on his future to avoid panic when the qualifiers are close or begin,” he concluded.

New Emir of Kano to be arrested for fraud

An order has been issued for the arrest of the new Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi over allegation of financial impropriety during his tenure as the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) , Saharareporters reports.

Sources said Sanusi is to be arrested as soon as he leaves the lodge of the Kano State Governor where he has been residing since becoming the new Emir of Kano.

The rift between the President and Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is believed to have begun, when he revealed that the President allegedly stole $20 billion from crude oil sales.

NUPENG blasts power Discos for poor supplies

Workers in the petroleum and natural gas sectors are supporting protests by consumers against erratic power supplies.

The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) said it was disheartening that power distribution companies (Discos) had continued to "cheat" and "short-change" Nigerians by issuing high electricity bills despite erratic supply of electricity.

NUPENG President, Achese Igwe, in a statement, said the union was concerned  consumers hardly enjoyed quality services.

“These fraudulent bills are putting more hardship, especially on the downtrodden, who cannot even afford three square meals a day, but now have to cough out money for electricity that they don’t get,” he said.

Igwe stated that the "exploitative attitude" was out of line with the energy reforms of the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan.

“We are disturbed that with the huge money budgeted and expended on power generation and distribution, there is still nothing to write home about, except perpetual darkness in many communities in the nooks and crannies of the country, only to be faced with huge bills," he said.

He therefore called on the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission to ensure that the new electricity distribution companies provided power to the public.

"It is  was shameful to note that the NERC. Is concerned with only increase in tariffs," said Igwe.

Government needs $900bn to improve power

An estimated $900 billion (N146 565 trillion) would be needed by the federal government in the next 30 years to grow its infrastructures in power, oil and gas sectors, reports Daily Trust.

A breakdown of how the money would be used shows that $550billion (about N89 611trillion) would be needed for power and $350billion (about N56 997trillion) for oil and gas, including maintenance cost.

Erepamo Osaisai, Chairman/CEO of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission (NAEC) noted these investments are needed if the country must meet its energy needs and generate export revenue.

He noted that Nigeria has one of the lowest per capita electricity generation in the world.

Cashless Policy Goes Nationwide Today !

The cashless policy, an initiative of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Bankers’ Committee aimed at reducing the amount of cash in the system will be extended to 30 more states in the country from today.

The policy which commenced in Lagos state in 2012 was last year extended to Abia, Anambra, Ogun, Kano, Rivers States and the FCT.

However, just like in the states where the policy had been implemented, the central bank last week announced the deferment of charges for individuals and corporate account holders who wish to withdraw cash above the prescribed limits in the 30 states.

The charges on withdrawals for both individual and corporate account holders will now take effect in the remaining 30 States from July 1, 2015.
The waiver is to allow ample time for the deployment of adequate infrastructure needed to support the policy.

Under the cashless policy, the CBN had pegged the daily cumulative cash withdrawal/deposit limit for individual accounts at N500,000 per day and N3 million per day for corporate accounts.

But while unveiling his agenda for the central bank, the CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele had abolished charges for cash lodgment.

Nevertheless, cash withdrawals above the limit for individual accounts attract a three per cent charge while corporate account holders are being charged five per cent.

Speaking on the policy, Executive Director, Lagos and South-west Directorate, Fidelity Bank Plc, Mr. IK Mbagwu urged bank customers in the 30 states to comply with the policy, saying banks have already provided alternative banking channels.

“When we first started, we said we were not ready, even from the pilot scheme in Lagos State, some said we were not ready then. But obviously, you have seen how far we have gone.

“It is not a 100 per cent success and even the nationwide rollout may not be 100 per cent success. But it is a journey that we must start and the only way to start is to enforce the policy. I think that is what the central bank is trying to do.

“However, the Point of Sale (PoS) machines are there, the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) are there, internet banking is available and these are some of the major planks of the cashless policy. The banks are also ready for the policy,” he explained.

The Director, Banking and Payment System Department, CBN, Mr. Dipo Fatokun recently advised banks in the affected states to immediately commence the enlightenment of the customers on the policy, especially on the existing limits on cash withdrawals for individuals and corporate bodies, as well as the available e-payment options.

He also stressed the need for banks to ensure that their members of staff in the affected states are adequately trained on the policy, in order to provide answers to enquiries, give useful advice, handle issues and complaints on the policy.

Nigeria leads Africa in electricity blackout

A new report has revealed that Nigeria has the highest number of citizens without electricity in Africa.

The report also show that over 1.3 billion Africans are still without access to electricity, 10% of whom live in Nigeria, reports New Telegraph.

The report, a joint venture by sustainable energy charity, Ashden also revealed that nearly three billion people worldwide cook on open fires or inefficient cook stoves.

World Cup 2014: Cameroon investigates match-fixing claims

Cameroon officials are to investigate claims that seven of their players were involved in match-fixing at the World Cup in Brazil.

The ethics committee of the African country's football federation will look at allegations of "fraud" by "seven bad apples" in their three group games.

The allegations have been made in a German news magazine Der Spiegel by a convicted match-fixer from Singapore.

Cameroon lost all their Group A games, including a 4-0 defeat by Croatia.

The Indomitable Lions had Alex Song sent off for lashing out at Mario Mandzukic in that game, while team-mates Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Benjamin Moukandjo clashed late on in the game.

Highlights: Cameroon 0-4 Croatia

The allegations were made by convicted football match-fixer Wilson Raj Perumal, who was detained by police in Finland in April on an international arrest warrant.

In a discussion with Der Spiegel, the Singaporean correctly forecast the result with Croatia and that a player would be sent off.

A statement from Cameroon's FA read: "Recent allegations of fraud around Cameroon's 2014 Fifa World Cup three preliminary games, especially Cameroon versus Croatia, as well of the 'existence of seven bad apples [in our national team]' do not reflect the values and principles promoted by our administration, in line with Fifa's code of conduct and the ethics of our nation.

"We are strongly committed to employ all means necessary to resolve this disruptive matter in the shortest delays."

The investigation will form part of a wider inquiry ordered by the country's president, Paul Biya, into the team's poor performance at the World Cup.

Fifa did not comment on whether it was looking into the issue as football's world governing body did not want to "compromise any possible investigations".

It did, however, add: "Speaking generally, the integrity of the game is a top priority for Fifa and as such we take any allegations of match manipulation very seriously."

Cameroon's build up to the tournament in Brazil was marred by the players refusing to board a plane to Brazil until a dispute over bonus payments had been settled.

A financial package was eventually agreed with Cameroon's football federation, Fecafoot, but the squad's journey to the World Cup had been delayed for almost a day.

They started the tournament with a 1-0 defeat by Mexico prior to the loss to Croatia and being beaten 4-1 by hosts Brazil.

"Some players behaved very badly, and that's why we have conceded four goals," Cameroon head coach Volker Finke told French newspaper L'Equipe  after the Croatia defeat.

"I know that it is difficult to play with 10 men, but that is not a reason to lose it to this point.

"The game was balanced until the red card. The Croatians were more clinical in front of goal, but Cameroon also had chances to score.

"The behaviour of some of the players is really not satisfactory. Even when we were 11-a-side, it was not acceptable."

Fellow African nation Ghana is also involved in allegations over corruption.

The country's Football Association has called in the police to investigate the claims, although the GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi is to sue the Daily Telegraph newspaper over its claim he agreed for the national team to play in matches others were preparing to fix.

Neymar: I don't care about the Golden Boot

The 22-year-old says his only concern is realising his "dream" of winning the tournament with Brazil and does not care about the goalscorer charts

Brazil star Neymar says he is not concerned about winning the Golden Boot at the World Cup and is only interested in winning the tournament.

The 22-year-old has been one of the stars of the tournament, scoring four goals in the three group stage games, meaning he sits just one behind current top scorer James Rodriguez.

But Neymar says he has no interest in taking the competition's individual accolades.

"I don't want to be the best player; I don't want to be the top scorer," he told Times of India. "All I want is to win the World Cup title.

"It's what I always dreamed about. It doesn't matter how it happens, I just want to win the title. All I want to do is play football and help my team-mates and my team. I hope the dream ends with us winning the title.

"Not only by scoring goals but also by doing everything possible to help Brazil win."

The hosts came extremely close to exiting the tournament in the second round as they had to beat Chile on penalties. Neymar, though, who was pictured crying into coach Luiz Felipe Scolari's shoulder after the game, says he didn't feel any pressure throughout the match.

"I was calm. I felt no fear. Fear removes the desire to win," he said. "We knew that we would be playing a great team but there was no fear. Now, we just want to go into the quarter-finals and keep winning.

"There is no pressure when you are living your dream. I'm doing what I've wanted to do since I was a kid. Today, my dream is coming true; I'm playing the matches that I've always wanted to play.

"We really suffered [against Chile]. It was pure emotion. My tears after the game were of happiness. The desire to win and get through to the next round was huge. It was the most I have ever suffered in football. The game had everything.

"For me, it is an honour to be where I am, and to be wearing the shirt of Brazil, especially in a World Cup and that too in your own country."

The Barcelona player also praised Scolari, saying the entire team respects him.

"[Scolari is] very important. The players love having him as coach. We all respect him, but it works two ways," he added.

"He is the sort of man that if you show him respect he will show you respect. We are all so happy to be playing under him. He is very clear that only winning the World Cup will do. We all feel the same."

Don Jazzy Under Attack

Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has been under fire recently when speculations went viral that is ‘Dorobucci’ song has an occultic inclination.

Although he came out to debunk such claims, tongues have not yet stopped waging, more so when he asked for entries for the creative designs of ‘Doro Mega Super Hero’ with a cash prize reward of $3000.

One of Nigeria’s creative directors, Tola Alabi, has described the competition as a publicity stunt, which he sees as unethical and exploitative.

According to Tola, Don Jazzy, instead of spending such money for the so-called competition, could have approached a creative agency or individual to do the job for him.

Here is what he wrote;

HERE WE GO AGAIN!
Another PR stunt getting off making thousands of artists and designers work without pay. I can imagine how many creatives would get on their macs and pcs to spend endless hours with the hopes of creating 'DORO MEGA SUPER HERO'(whatever that is). Not only is this unethical but very exploitative.

How do you pick the best out of over a thousand designs? As a matter of fact, how do you effectively pick the best out of over a thousand anything? If Don jazzy has $3000 to spend on developing this excuse of character, why doesn't he approach a creative agency or individual and work them.

Isn't that how he does his music videos? I wonder why he doesn't make that a competition as well. Simple because music video directors would not waste their time and resources, but unfortunately graphic designers would. Anyway, good luck to the person who 'wins'. For those who take part and have nothing to show but another heavy file to take up your RAM- I warned ya!
