Louis van Gaal will not be formally announced as Manchester United’s new manager until early next week.
It was anticipated that confirmation of the Holland coach’s appointment as David Moyes’s successor at Old Trafford would come today or tomorrow.
Yet with some minor contractual issues still to sort out, United fans will be forced to wait a little longer before Van Gaal is formally installed.
