Police Arrest Woman For Allegedly Killing Her Daughter

A 35 year old fashion designer identified as Rosemary Idibie is currently helping the police in Ogwashi-Uku police station for allegedly killing her 11 year old daughter by setting her ablaze.
The suspect said to have hailed from Abi, Ndokwa West LGA of Delta State, but living with her mother in Ogwashi-Uku, was said to have committed the act yesterday after allegedly pouring kerosine on the little girl and setting her ablaze.

LEADERSHIP Sunday gathered that the victim identified as Favour was said to have been sent on an errand on the fateful day by her mother to buy food stuff for her, but was not to be as the little girl could not purchase the food stuff in the manner the mother had wanted her to buy them; a situation that infuriated her.

She was said to have been angered by the fate that the little girl could not purchase the needed items in the manner she had wanted it from the market with the sum of N300 she was given.

Confirming the arrest of the suspect, the acting police public relations officer in the state, DSP Charles Muka, said that the suspect was arrested in a forest in Ogwashi-Ukwu following a tip off.
