Three persons including a woman have been killed during a clash between two rival cult groups in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State.
It was learnt that two persons were killed in Bani , while a woman was shot dead in Kpae community during the clash.
The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the local government, Hyacinth Nwiye, confirmed the incident.
Eyewitnesses said one of the cultists was shot and beheaded afterwards.
Nwiye said he personally went to the Bori Police Station in the area to see the corpses, even as he confirmed that there was a headless body among those killed.
He said: “When I heard about the incident I quickly called the DPO to find out what happened, and when I got to the police station I discovered that the corpses had been brought in.
“I went with them to the mortuary where their remains were deposited and later discovered that one of the cultists was shot dead and beheaded, and his head was taken away. We went with the police to take the headless body to the mortuary,” the council boss said
