Kaduna placed under 24-hour curfew

The governor of Kaduna state imposed an around-the-clock curfew in Kaduna on Wednesday after twin bombings that killed at least 42 people.
"The state government has placed a 24-hour curfew in Kaduna Metropolis following the two bomb blasts in the city by the agents of darkness," said Ahmed Maiyaki, spokesman for Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero. "The measure is aimed at forestalling breakdown of law and order," he added.
