An order has been issued for the arrest of the new Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi over allegation of financial impropriety during his tenure as the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) , Saharareporters reports.
Sources said Sanusi is to be arrested as soon as he leaves the lodge of the Kano State Governor where he has been residing since becoming the new Emir of Kano.
The rift between the President and Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is believed to have begun, when he revealed that the President allegedly stole $20 billion from crude oil sales.
